The LSE Actuarial Conference is the flagship event of the LSESU Actuarial Society and is the largest student-run actuarial conference in the United Kingdom. Each year, the LSE Actuarial Conference convenes the brightest students from leading universities in the UK and distinguished professionals to deliberate the latest trends, issues and ideas in insurance, finance, technology, and other actuarial related fields. The conference also serves as a platform for our sponsors to meet and network with our diverse pool of delegates. In 2020, the conference had to be held online due to the pandemic. On the bright side, it provided participants from outside the UK a rare opportunity to join the conference.

The theme for this year is “Stepping Into Tomorrow”, where we aim to raise commercial awareness among members about the gradual digitalisation of the actuarial profession, and at the same time educate our global audience regarding potential roles in non-traditional fields and how to excel in these roles ultimately.

The LSE Actuarial Conference is proudly hosted and supported by the LSE Students’ Union Actuarial Society, one of the largest student-run actuarial societies in the UK.

All students or working professionals around the globe who have a keen interest in pursuing an actuarial career, regardless of background. There is no requirement to have studied actuarial science before. An open, curious mind is all you need.

It is free of charge.

Due to the maximum limit of participants Zoom can host, we can only admit 300 participants for each session, and they will be admitted on a first come first serve basis.

Registrations will be closed at 12:00 am, 19th March 2020, which is one day before the conference.
